
Wayne E. King, age 91, of Paris, passed away Saturday, May 17, 2025, at his residence. His funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 21st, at McEvoy Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Bevil Cemetery. Visitation will be at McEvoy Funeral Home from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 20th, and after 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday prior to the service.
Wayne King was born February 18, 1934, in Paris, TN, to the late Lawrence Porter and Lillian Pearl Pierce King. He was married to Betty Lou Burt King, who preceded him in death.
Wayne was a heat-treating specialist who did aerospace satellites and NASA projects for 30 years. He retired from Wall Colmonoy Co., and he was a pit crew specialist responsible for tires for Bennie Parsons Racing.
Wayne is survived by his brother, Bobby (Nancy) King of Russell Springs, KY; stepdaughter, Catherine Beth Sullivan; stepson, Michael Shane Burt (Christine Elizabeth Ebel) of Michigan; step-grandchildren: Lucas Shane Burt and Nicholas Scott Burt; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, including Tracy Kilpatrick of Paris, and Ronnie King of Nashville.
Besides his parents and wife, Wayne was also preceded in death by his sisters, Carolyn Bullen and Betty Holcomb, and Lillian Joy King, who preceded in infancy; and brothers: Dan, Horace, and Morris King.
Pallbearers for Mr. King will be Ronnie King, Derek King, Joey King, Mike Burt, and Colin Kilpatrick.
