Members of the Union City High School boys’ basketball and soccer teams were recently honored at the conclusion of their respective seasons.
The Union City boys’ basketball team, which won 18 games and the 43rd district title in the illustrious history of the program, celebrated those accomplishments with a team dinner this week.
Several Tornado players were honored with individual awards afterwards.
Tornado head soccer coach Lazzarus Scribner had several squad members make the All-District 12A, All-Tournament, and All-Academic teams – announced at the conclusion of the league’s postseason tournament Wednesday.
UC, which ended its season with a loss in the district semifinals on Monday, ended up with a record of 8-8-1.
