| The 2025 Cardboard Boat Regatta takes place this Saturday, May 10, on Discovery Park’s South Lake. Want to be part of the fun but didn’t have time to make a boat? Test the waters in the Instant Cardboard Boat Regatta.
In this contest, you’ll have an hour and a half to build your boat on-site with materials provided by Discovery Park. Just bring the creativity and maybe a little bravery. Check-in begins at 8:30 a.m., with building for the instant race starting at 9 a.m.
Got your boat built but didn’t register yet? No problem. You can still pre-register online or sign up at the gate on the day of the event.

Guests that are only stopping by for the Cardboard Boat Regatta can enter through the Train Depot gate or at the main entrance and spectate at no cost. |
