It was a big day at Southern Fried & Sweet Tea in Puryear as the crew from Tennessee Crossroads arrived to film an episode of their television show there.
Or as Crossroads Producer Miranda Cohen put it, “We’re spilling the Sweet Tea on Tennessee Crossroads And you better believe it is AMAZING!”
Southern Fried and Sweet Tea hasn’t been open that long in Puryear, but in that short time has made quite an impression, bringing people from near and far to sample their great food.
Cohen told us after their visit, “What an incredibly wonderful place. It is a great honor to highlight wonderful places like Southern Fried and Sweet Tea and what an incredible love story they have.”
Tennessee Crossroads has been on the air 38 years and is the highest rated locally produced program throughout the PBS system. Tennessee Crossroads also featured Sally Lane’s Candy Farm in Paris a few years ago
