HUNTINGDON, Tenn.–  Baptist Memorial Hospital-Carroll County received a “Straight A” Hospital Safety Grade from The Leapfrog Group, a designation awarded to hospitals that maintain an “A” grade for five or more consecutive grading cycles.

“Earning the ‘Straight A’ Hospital Safety Grade from the Leapfrog Group is the highest honor and confirms the excellent care provided at Baptist Carroll County,” said Susan Breeden, chief executive officer and administrator of Baptist Carroll County. “Our physicians, nurses and staff work hard every day to provide safe, high-quality care, and this recognition is important to them and the patients they serve.”

Leapfrog assigns letter grades from A to F to general hospitals nationwide based on more than 30 measures of patient safety. The group updates grades twice a year, in the spring and fall.

“Achieving an ‘A’ Hospital Safety Grade reflects enormous dedication to patient safety,” said Leah Binder, president and CEO of The Leapfrog Group. “I extend my congratulations to Baptist Carroll County’s leadership, clinicians, staff and volunteers for creating a culture where patients come first.”
