The Northwest Tennessee Tourism Association is proud to announce the 3rd Annual NWTN Legislative Breakfast, scheduled for Friday, May 23, 2025, at Discovery Park of America in Union City, Tennessee.
The NWTN Legislative Breakfast is designed to connect and engage key stakeholders in the tourism industry, fostering important conversations between local and state government officials, business leaders, and tourism partners across the region. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear legislative updates, discuss tourism’s economic impact, and collaborate on strategies to strengthen Northwest Tennessee’s growth and visibility.
This year’s distinguished lineup of speakers includes Senators Ed Jackson and John Stevens, Representatives Tandy Darby, Rusty Grills, and Chris Hurt. In addition, we are honored to welcome guest speakers Debra Smith, Assistant Commissioner of Marketing, and Dennis Tumlin, Chief Customer Officer, from the Tennessee Department of Tourist Development. Both Debra and Dennis bring valuable insight and statewide leadership to the conversation, offering a look at tourism’s record-breaking success and future initiatives.
“In 2023, Northwest Tennessee generated more than $300 million in direct visitor spending, clearly showing tourism’s growing impact on our economy,” says Kasey Muench, Executive Director of the Northwest Tennessee Tourism Association. “Tourism isn’t just about travel — it’s about jobs, investment, and creating stronger communities across our region.”
The event is free to attend, but an RSVP is required. To reserve your spot and join key decision-makers in shaping the future of tourism in Northwest Tennessee, please visit www.nwtntourism.com.
