Union City, Tenn.–Thanks to a generous donation, Masquerade Theatre is embarking on a complete restoration project of the historic Capitol Theatre!
The beloved 98-year-old home will soon be transformed into a modern performing arts center while preserving and bringing back its Art Deco charm.
Renovations will include:
Modernized, accessible stadium-style seating
Upgraded lighting & audio-visual systems
A retractable digital projection system for movie screenings
Expanded lobby and concessions area
Major additions, including a catering kitchen, an additional rehearsal stage that will double as a dinner theatre area and rental space, and a second-story for a relocated costume room and green room with enhanced dressing and lounge spacesNot only will these upgrades honor the Capitol’s incredible history, but they’ll also breathe new life into the arts scene in West Tennessee, drawing visitors from near and far.
