
Bro. Roland Dean Mudge, age 84, of Dover, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at his residence on April 21, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on December 13, 1940, in Weare, NH, he was the son of Roland and Kathleen Judy Mudge. A true servant at heart, Bro. Roland dedicated his life to both his country and his faith. He proudly served in the United States Navy from 1958 to 1964, and then in the United States Coast Guard from 1964 until his retirement in 1980.
After his military service, Bro. Roland continued his calling to serve others as a devoted pastor. He shepherded the congregation at Corinth Baptist Church for 11 years and graciously served in various other churches wherever he was needed. His ministry was marked by humility, compassion, and unwavering faith.
Above all, Bro. Roland was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His greatest joy was his family, and the memories shared with them were the treasures of his heart.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roland and Kathleen Mudge and daughter, Gidget Mudge.
Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Ginny Mudge; his children, Kevin Mudge (Marie), Gladys Babadi, and Roland Mudge III; his grandchildren, Taylor Neblett (Ben), Jordan Mudge (Jeremy), Chris Ebelt, Kavon, Jacob and Sasha Babadi and Travis Mudge; and 14 great-grandchildren who will carry his legacy of love forward.
A visitation will be held on Friday, April 25, 2025 beginning at 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Anglin Funeral Home. Visitation will resume on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at 10:00 am and continue until the funeral service at 11:00 am with Bro. William Gray officiating. Burial will follow at Corinth Cemetery with Ben Neblett, Jeremy Turner, Quinn Gardner, Robert Coolidge, Dave Cahilly and Todd Wallace serving as pallbearers.
Bro. Roland’s life was a testimony of service, strength, and faith. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
