Crockett County, Tenn.–Residents were awakened in the early morning hours after a crash occurred in their front yards with a debris field of nearly 200 yards. The Crockett County Sheriff’s deputies, firefighters, Crockett County Rescue Squad, EMA, Humboldt Area Rescue Squad, and THP all responded to the scene to assist.
Upon arrival shortly after 3 am, a victim was not readily found, therefore, a ground search of numerous residential properties began, and a drone with heat-detecting technology was immediately deployed.
With no sign of a crash victim, Captain Joe Terry of the Tennessee Highway Patrol graciously authorized their public safety helicopter to respond to the scene for a larger aerial search with no sign of a victim. The THP is leading the crash investigation.
After 6 hours and no victim located yet, we have exhausted all of our resources to search in good faith, therefore, we are posting a picture of the vehicle in hopes that more information may become available about the circumstances of this crash and the driver’s well-being.
Thank you to all the residents in the area for your assistance, kindness, and patience. Thank you to JP Privett, HARS and Captain Joe Terry for the mutual aid assistance. We can always count on you all for help.
