The National Weather Service out of Memphis has released their preliminary damage survey results for the tornado that struck the Chestnut Glade community and North Latham area.
According to the survey, the tornado was classified as an EF-2 with peak winds reaching 115 mph. The tornado’s path length was approximately 6.38 miles, with a maximum width of 350 yards.
We are still grateful that despite the significant damage, no one was killed or injured during this event.
