A chosen group of nearly two dozen third and fourth graders from Union City Elementary School was rewarded last week with a trip to Discovery Park of America as part of the school’s Discovery Kids program.
Faculty and staff nominated a dozen students from the third grade and 11 more from the fourth grade to travel to DPA and enjoy a fun-filled day after they displayed exemplary behavior over the third nine weeks of the 2024-25 school year.
The honorees – most of whom wore Union City Schools spirit wear to show their Tornado Pride – had been lauded by school staff for not only outstanding behavior but tremendous character and classroom work ethic, too.
Students explored the many exhibits at the park and were accompanied by school personnel, who chaperoned the day’s activities.
