
Mr. John Stephen Holecz, Jr, 75, better known as Jack, passed peacefully, March 4, 2025, at his home with loved ones around.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at the home of Landon and Whitney Coates, 725 Barger Rd in Martin, TN., 38237.

Jack was born May 4, 1949, in Bridgeport, CT, to the late John and Marion (Norton) Holecz. He graduated in 1967 from Roger Ludlowe High School in Fairfield, CT and attended Housatonic Community College and Central Connecticut State College. Jack worked along side his dad as a carpenter up until his move to Tennessee in 1991. He married Penny Futrell in 1993, and together they had a big family. Jack was an avid sports fan, loved to tell stories, enjoyed woodworking, and most of all loved his family.
Survivors include his wife, Penny Futrell Holecz, of Martin, TN, three sisters, Jill (Barry) Cole, of Hindsdale, MA, Jane (Phil) Ryan, of Spartanburg, SC, Julie (Ed) Cady, of Roxbury, CT; his sons, Tristan (Taylor) Holecz, of Martin, TN; Darrell (Jeannie) Watson, of Franklin, TN; Jake (Stephanie) Watson, of Clarksville, TN; his daughters, Whitney (Landon) Coates, of Martin, TN; Lindsay (Thor) Melson, of Tullahoma, TN; eleven grandchildren, Brecken Coates, Bryson Coates, Emerson John Holecz, Walker Watson, Wyleigh Watson, Waverly Watson, Wrigley Watson, Aiden Watson, Miles Watson, Gunnar Melson, and Emily Mills; his precious nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog Maverick.
He was also preceded in death by his son, Chris Watson, and a granddaughter, Brenley Coates.
