With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Walter Kilpatrick, our beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, on [February 21, 2025] at the age of [41]. Walter died unexpectedly at his residence in Puryear. Walter was born on August 10, 1983.

Walter brought immense joy to our lives from the moment he joined our family, and his loving spirit will forever be cherished. An avid sports fan, he was passionate about all things Henry County Patriots, Tennessee Volunteers, and Tennessee Titans. He loved a good ballgame until the very end. Walter had a deep love for his family, church, and community.

Walter was preceded in death by his father, Robert Kilpatrick, and is survived by his loving mother, Linda Kilpatrick of Murray, KY. He is survived by a sister, Amy Kilpatrick, of Murray, KY; brothers, Steven Kilpatrick of Paris, Rob Kilpatrick of Puryear, TN, and Jamie (Amy Greer) Kilpatrick of Burns, TN. He was the proud uncle of many nephews and nieces; Weston and Abbigale McBride of Murray, KY; Ben Kilpatrick of Martin, TN; Isabella Kilpatrick of Paris, TN; Houston Kilpatrick of Brentwood, TN; Elizabeth Kilpatrick, of Knoxville, TN; Madeline Kilpatrick of Dyersburg, TN. Additionally, Walter was very close to his numerous Aunts, Uncles, and cousins.

Walter had very strong values and was well-liked by everyone, mostly due to his positive energy. He chose to live a life of meaningful acts of love and service, like Christ modeled for us.

Walter was a long-term employee of Henry County Medical Center’s Operating Room Services. He was a dedicated team member for over 20 years.

Also, a heartfelt thank you to the Puryear Police Department and Henry County EMTs for their support.

Funeral arrangements have been made through McEvoy Funeral Home in Paris, TN. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 pm Friday, February 28th and after 11:00 am Saturday, March 1st at McEvoy Funeral Home. The funeral will be at 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 1st at McEvoy Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Gallimore of TVCC officiating. Burial will follow in the Puryear City Cemetery.
