SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT CONCERNING RIVES SEWER SYSTEM from Obion County Mayor Steve Carr:
I am happy to announce that we have been able to restore power to the sewer system lift station pumps in Rives. So, for those Rives residents who have had electricity restored to your house, and you are able to return to your house, you are now able to use your toilets, wash clothes, etc.
I made a special request to get this done NOW, and I want to thank Craig McManus from CAM Electric and Gibson Electric for their willingness to work with me and for their cooperation to make this happen even as we are dealing with hazardous driving conditions and sub-freezing temperatures.
We will continue to work toward getting the electricity turned on for every residence in Rives as soon as it is possible and safe to do so.
