
MARTIN, Tenn.– University of Tennessee at Martin head baseball coach Ryan Jenkins has released a loaded 56-game slate for the 2025 season which includes 27 home games and 27 Ohio Valley Conference contests.
A season-long seven-game homestand at Skyhawk Field will take place from April 11-22 while UT Martin will battle four squads for the first time (Florida A&M, Akron, Old Dominion and St. Bonaventure). A total of 28 games on the Skyhawks’ 2025 slate will be against teams that finished with at least a .500 record last spring.
The eighth year of the Jenkins Era starts with a four-game set at Florida A&M on Feb. 14-16. UT Martin then heads to Carbondale for the first of two midweek games against Southern Illinois on Feb. 18 before the home opener the following day against Murray State. The first weekend home series for the Skyhawks takes place from Feb. 21-23 with four games against the Akron Zips out of the Mid-American Conference.
The opening month of the season additionally includes a return trip to Murray State (Feb. 25) before UT Martin travels to Middle Tennessee for a tournament where the Skyhawks will play the host Blue Raiders (Feb. 28), Old Dominion (March 1) and St. Bonaventure (March 2). A trip to Alabama A&M on March 4 finishes off a five-game road trip for UT Martin.
The first games at Skyhawk Field in the month of March will feature a three-game series with Southern Conference member Samford (March 7-9). Jenkins reunites with his alma mater Auburn on March 11 in a neutral-site affair at Toyota Field, the home of the Rocket City Trash Pandas (Los Angeles Angels Double-A affiliate) in Madison, Ala. UT Martin then faces Western Kentucky for the first time since 2004 for three road contests on March 14-16.
OVC play begins on March 21-23 when the Skyhawks welcome in reigning tournament champion and NCAA Regional finalist Southeast Missouri at home. The four-game homestand of the season concludes against Southern Illinois on March 25. UT Martin heads north for the weekend of March 28-30 for three games against OVC rival Lindenwood in St. Charles, Mo.
The lone home game in the midst of an eight-game stretch takes place when Alabama A&M visits the Skyhawks on April 1. UT Martin goes back on the road with bouts against OVC foe Eastern Illinois (April 4-6) and Missouri Valley Conference member Belmont (April 8).
The seven-game home stretch starts with OVC opponent Western Illinois (April 11-13) making its first trip to UT Martin since 2005. The Skyhawks then host OVC rival Morehead State on April 17-19 before bringing in Belmont for a midweek outing on April 22. UT Martin hops back on the bus to travel to in-state OVC foe Tennessee Tech (April 25-27) and North Alabama (April 29). OVC rival Southern Indiana visits Skyhawk Field from May 2-4 before North Alabama comes to town to finish off the home-and-home series on May 6.
UT Martin ends the road portion of the regular season with three games against defending OVC regular season conference champion Little Rock on May 9-11 and a midweek clash with Southeastern Conference member Ole Miss (May 13). The Skyhawks finish the regular season against OVC foe SIUE on May 15-17 and will have their eyes set on a third straight trip to the OVC Baseball Championship, which will once again take place at Mtn Dew Park in Marion, Ill. This year’s event is set for Wednesday, May 21 through Saturday, May 24.
