Paris, Tenn.–The African-American Monument in the historic Paris City Cemetery was still covered in snow Sunday as the area said goodbye to the major snowfall that closed schools, businesses and caused treacherous driving. The monument was built by the city of Paris several years ago to honor the unnamed African-Americans who are buried in the cemetery. The cemetery is located on Ruff Street within walking distance of the Quinn Chapel AME Church. Shannon McFarlin photo.
