McKenzie, Tenn.–The Old West Steakhouse in McKenzie was destroyed by fire overnight. Cause of the fire is still being investigated.
McKenzie Fire & Rescue was called to 15895 Highland Drive at 11:39 p.m. last night, according to fire officials. Mutual aid was provided by the fire departments in Huntingdon and Gleason.
Firefighters said they stayed on the scene until around 4 a.m. this morning.
It was previously announced that the McKenzie Planning Commission approved the site plan for a Taco Bell to be located there. The Old West Steakhouse in Union City was destroyed by fire in 2019. It’s been reported that owners of the Old West Steakhouse planned to open a new restaurant in Union City.
