
Hubert Howard Heathcock, 74, of Rives passed away unexpectedly Sunday morning, January 5, 2024, at his home.
Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Obion County Memorial Gardens mausoleum.
There will be no visitation and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for the service.
Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Howard was born December 30, 1950, in Union City, son of the late Hubert Harold Heathcock and the late Frances (Gatlin) Heathcock. He was the widower of Wilma (Lewis) Gatlin who preceded him in death in September 2005 and Rebecca (Pierce) Heathcock who preceded him in death February 2019. Howard served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and had been employed in maintenance at the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company for 20 years. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, hunting and fishing. Howard attended Union City First Assembly of God.
He is survived by two sons, Scottie Heathcock (Shelley) of South Fulton and Dusty Heathcock of Rives; four grandchildren, Taylor Heathcock (Nick) of Columbia, Missouri, Alex Heathcock (Azia) and Matthew Chessor all of Union City and Tyler Chessor of Columbus, Ohio; and one great granddaughter, Amelia Grace Chessor of Ridgely.
He was also preceded in death by one sister, Carolyn Rhodes.
