William Lee “Pickle” Simmons, Sr., 63, of Fulton, Kentucky passed away 1:14 p.m. Saturday, December 28, 2024, at Clinton Place Nursing Home in Clinton, Kentucky.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Richard Hart will officiate. Burial will follow in Hickman City Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of services Monday.
Pallbearers will be Darrell Powell, Harold Jackson, Justin Kelly, Chris Kimmons and Stephen Crain.
William was born May 7, 1961, in Hickman, Kentucky, son of the late Jimmy Lee Simmons and Freida Fay (Bing) Simmons. He married Betty (Johnson) Simmons April 11, 1999. William had been employed as a farmer and was a member of Riceville Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years Betty Simmons of Fulton, Kentucky; his mother, Fay Simmons of Fulton, Kentucky; four sons, William Simmons, Jr. (Amy) of the Clayton community, Justin Simmons (Donna) of Union City, James Simmons and Jordan Simmons (Summer) all of Clinton, Kentucky; one step daughter, Crystal Johnson of Columbus, Kentucky; one step son, Chris Johnson (Shawn) of South Fulton; two sisters, Freida Nance (Darrell) of Paducah, Kentucky and Melissa Russ (Chris) of Dresden; one brother, Jimmy Simmons (Susie) of Fulton, Kentucky; 18 grandchildren; and 1 great granddaughter.
He was also preceded in death by one granddaughter, Destiny Simmons.
