
McKenzie, Tenn.–It’s official. The Hospital Wing medical helicopter service is now at home at the Carroll County Airport in McKenzie.
As we reported earlier, construction for the Hospital Wing headquarters began at the airport in September. The airport now has a new hangar and base which means Carroll County now will be provided with 24/7 air ambulance service. Hospital Wing also plans to construct housing/living quarters for its employees.
According to The McKenie Banner, a pilot, flight nurse and flight paramedic man the Airbus EC130 helicopter. Each aircraft is equipped with blood, plasma, IVs, ultrasound, and other medical equipment.
