James E. Blanton, age 72, passed away on Friday, December 20, 2024 in Paris, TN at Henry County Healthcare Center. His body is to be cremated and a memorial celebration of his life will planned. Time of the service and visitation will be announced later by McEvoy.
James Edward Blanton was born August 8, 1952 in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Wilbert Robert Blanton and the late Laura Mary Rifenburg Blanton. He married Christine Swanson Blanton on February 18, 1973 and she survives in Paris. James is survived by sisters, Dianna Rosales of Desto, Missouri and Linda Blanton of St. Louis; by brother Dennis Blanton; by numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. Besides his parents, James is also preceded in death by sisters, Roseann Sullivan and Teresa Jane Dornbach; and by brothers, Robert Blanton and Buddy Blanton.
Mr. Blanton was an avid outdoorsman who loved to ride his motorcycle and go boating and fishing. James was a jack of all trades, working as a tree trimmer for the forestry service, working for the public school system in Missouri, for Hi C Chimney Co. as a punch press operator, also working for General Molding and for Sparkett Devices. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
