Dover, Tenn.–The staff at Fort Donlelson National Battlefield wishes everyone a Merry Christmas and a joyous holiday season.
Though the visitor center and historic Dover Hotel are closed today, the tour road is open during its regular access hours.
Also, visitors are able to park their vehicles and explore the battlefield, river batteries, and the Fort Donelson National Cemetery. Wreaths are placed at all the graves as part of “Wreaths Across America”.
They will reopen all visitor services and other park operations tomorrow.
