Paris, Tenn.–“It’s A Wonderful Life–A Live Radio Play” opens tonight at the Krider Performing Arts Center, which is a retelling of the classic film and a perfect holiday activity.
Directed by Noah Way and Stage Managed by Hailey Prince, the cast includes: Canaan Barrow Colleen Dunn Steve Hulbert Griffin McDurmon Jaqueline Medburry Evan Martin Bailey McSwain Linda Miller Stephanie Salin and Kyle Stanton. The play is performed by the KPAC Players.
Wray said, “This one’s a little different, as not only is it a show inside a show, but due to it being a radio play, it’s much smaller and intimate than nearly any production I’ve directed. When something’s this minimalistic and the text requires actors to have their scripts onstage, there’s nowhere to hide. No smoke and mirrors, dance numbers, grandiose sets, and minimal blocking. All that’s left is you and the stage.” He also noted that three of the cast members are over the age of 75.
The play revisits the story of George Bailey as he grapples with life’s blessings, disappointments, despair and ultimately ….. HOPE. This show is suitable for all ages!
Get tickets at KriderPAC.com or at the door. Adults $12. Senior Adults $10. Youth $8.
