Anne arrived in this world on March 24th, 1941, the third child of Harold and Louise Harding. She was one of six siblings, and early on moved to Cottage Grove, Tennessee, where she grew up, attended and graduated from Cottage Grove High School in 1959.

She enrolled at Union University in Jackson, Tennessee and changed to Lambuth College in her second year. It was there she met her husband, Fred Morris III. They married December 23rd, 1962, at First Methodist Church, Paris, Tennessee. Three children were born in the next eight years, as they moved about from Jackson, Tennessee to Hatch, New Mexico, Nashville, Tennessee, Memphis, Tennessee, Chattanooga, Tennessee, Anchorage, Alaska, Austin, Texas, Dallas, Texas, and finally to Georgetown, Texas in 2020.

Anne devoted herself to her family and children, Jacqueline, Stephen and Daniel and was a fierce advocate for each of them from their childhood to adulthood. Along the way she engaged in several side avocations, from selling encyclopedias, cosmetics, to a floral and catering business. She subsequently took these skills to her church family, becoming the church hostess and Wednesday evening meal chef for ten years.

Anne left this world for her eternal home on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at age 83, following a short and painful illness occasioned by the accumulating effects of several smaller health issues over the years, which cascaded upon her a week before her death. She went home while at St. David’s Hospital, Georgetown Texas, in the presence of loving family and medical staff.

She is survived by her husband, Fred Morris; her children, Jacqueline Ramirez and husband Alan, of Steamboat Springs, Colorado, their children, Foster and Emi Ramirez; Stephen and wife Karen Morris, of Cameron, Texas and Stephen’s children, Zachary Morris, his wife Elizabeth and their children, John and Ambrose, and Katherine Morris; Karen’s children, Stacy Nunez and husband Peter, of Georgetown, Texas and their children, McKenzie, Carson and Margaret; Kristen Allen and husband Colton, of Argyle, Texas and their child Griffin; Daniel Morris and wife Adrienne, of Battle Ground, Washington, and their children, Sydney, Ethan and Andrew; brother, Charles Harding and wife Marita of Martin, Tennessee, and their adult children; brother Joe Harding and his wife Jane, of Janesville, Wisconsin, and their adult children.

Services include a visitation time for friends and family from 4 to 7 pm at McEvoy Funeral Home, Paris, Tennessee, on Monday, December 16th and burial at Johnson Chapel Cemetery at 11 am on Tuesday, December 17th.
