224 Kids Treated To Shopping Spree Thanks To Cops & Kids

Paris, Tenn.–On Saturday, December 7th, 2024, the Fraternal Order of Police Tennessee-Kentucky Lake Lodge 17, took two hundred twenty-four children Christmas Shopping.

The shopping trip began at Paris Elementary School. The children were paired with a shopping guide then driven to Wal-Mart Supercenter for their Christmas shopping spree. Each child could spend $100 on Christmas presents. When the children returned to P.E.S, they received a stuffed animal, a bag of fruit, breakfast items and other goodies. The Grinch was at Walmart and greeted the young shoppers.

F.O.P. President and retired Chief Chuck Elizondo staid, “Henry County has done it again by providing generous donations allowing us to increase the shopping amount to $100 per child. We are fortunate to have over a hundred volunteers come together and help 224 children of this great community.”

First Baptist Church Paris provided transportation.

Henry County Rescue Squad provided transportation.

Henry County High School Brian Welp with DECA & Diane McCord with the Criminal Justice Class provided shopping escorts.

Harrelson, Henry, and Lakewood Schools Guidance Counselors.

Paris and Henry County School Resource Officers.

Walmart provided goodie bags for every child.
