
Shirley Magness Autry, 77, of Union City passed away 2:15 a.m. Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at Haywood County Community Hospital in Brownsville.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Rick Burton will officiate.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of services Friday.
Shirley was born June 13, 1947, in Newark, Arkansas, daughter of the late Ralph W. and Marie (Southard) Magness. She married Billy Autry, Sr. August 6, 1988. He preceded her in death January 2, 2023. Shirley retired from the Social Security Administration in Union City and was a member of Woodland Mills First Baptist Church. Shirley was known for her positive attitude and as an encourager. She loved her family fiercely and lived to serve them all.
She is survived by two daughters, Beth Callis and husband Tony of Rives and Tracy Lannom and husband Gary of Bradford; three sons, Bill Menees and wife Amy Oldham of Madison, Billy Autry, Jr. of Rives and Mike Noyes of Troy; eight grandchildren, Kaylee Greene and husband Jacob, Karrie Burton, Alex Menees, Jon Autry and wife Lauren, Zac Autry, Savannah Autry, Megan Cochran and husband Hunter and Matthew Lannom; and five great grandchildren, Andrew Stephens, Bella Greene, Daisy Greene, Alice Greene and Harper Mae Cochran.
She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Barbara Lancaster and Mary Ada; and one brother, Ed Magness.
