CAMDEN WATER SYSTEM OUTAGE AND BOIL WATER ADVISORY
CWD utility crews are still waiting for TEMA to give us access to the accident scene in order to make repairs to the affected water main. I have been informed by a TEMA representative on the scene that a HAZMAT mitigation team is coming from Illinois to remove a tanker full of anhydrous ammonia. As of now, we have no estimated time for restoration of water services.
In the meantime, we are establishing a bottled water distribution point at the old Walmart building at 190 Highway 641 North in Camden. Please use the side entrance to the parking lot from Post Oak Avenue. Bottled water supplies will be limited, so we are distributing one case of bottled water per household.
There is a boil water advisory in effect until further notice. I will continue to update the public when more information becomes available.
