Two current members who ran unopposed and a third person who was a write-in candidate were sworn in for four-year terms on the Union City School Board Tuesday.
Seth Rhenberg (left), representing Ward 2; Cathy Waggoner (middle) of Ward 4; and at-large representative Linda Graham (right) took their oath from City Clerk Tracy Gore.
Waggoner, a long-time member of the board, currently serves as board chairman. Rhenberg will begin his first full term after being appointed in 2023, while Graham – who served as an administrative assistant for a number of years in the system – is a first-time member of the board.
“Our board is second to none as far as supporting our administrators and making the best interest of our students the focus of every decision they make,” UC Director of Schools Wes Kennedy said.
“I look forward to our continued working relationship, which has made Union City Schools the best.”
