MARTIN, TENN.– Dr. Danny Walker (center), UT Martin professor of animal science, will retire at the end of the 2025 spring semester after 14 years of teaching at the university. A retirement dinner was held Saturday night, Nov. 9, in the Russell Duncan Ballroom, when creation of the Danny Walker Endowment was announced in his honor. Walker, a doctor of veterinary medicine, is past president of the Tennessee Veterinary Medical Association and was awarded the Elsevier Award for Teaching Excellence in 2017 from the Association of Veterinary Technician Educators.
