Johnnie Lee “John” Crow, 86, of Union City passed away 1:13 p.m. Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 19, 2024, in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Melvin Poe will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. Ararat Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Davis, Dustin Davis, Les Ping, Andrew Miksa, Richard Martin and Charles Spencer.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m.until the hour of services Tuesday, November 19, 2024.
John was born October 5, 1938, in Clarendon, Arkansas, son of the late Charles Richard and Doris Lee (Long) Crow. He married Joan Marie (Dollins) Crow January 24, 1970. She preceded him in death June 13, 2023. John retired from the United States Air Force after 20 years of service and retired from the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company as an electrician after 20 years of service. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and the J.T. Jones Sunday School Class. John enjoyed woodworking and raising and showing horses.
He is survived by two daughters, Paige Davis and husband Jimmy of Dyersburg and Yvonne Ping of O’Fallon, Illinois; two sons, Jay Crow of Union City and Michael Crow and wife Donna of Frederick, Maryland; 8 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; one sister, Yvonne Kiss and husband John of Union City; and two brothers, Billy Crow and wife Lynda of Union City and Tim Crow and wife Debbie of Troy.
He was also preceded in death by two sons, Russell Crow and Richard Crow; and two sisters, Mary Helen Crow and Nancy Crow.
