
Paris, Tenn.–The annual Henry County Veterans’ Day parade is this Saturday morning, November 9, with Veteran George Shankle as Grand Marshal this year.
Shankle is a veteran of the Korean conflict and is a member of three veterans’ groups: VFW 1889; Amvets 45 and American Legion 89.
He has served on the County Veterans Committee and has helped with the coordination, purchase and placement of flags on veterans’ graves for over 50 years.
The parade begins at 11 a.m.and starts at the county fairgrounds. The parade comes out of the main gates on Royal Oak Rd. to the four-way stop on Fairgrounds to the red light on Wood St.. The parade then moves down Wood Street to the area of the Catholic Church. Line up for the parade starts at 9:30 a.m.
