The Henry County Middle and High School Speech Teams competed in the Spooky Starnes Halloween Invitational at Portland High School in TN. The competition consisted of students from across the state in public speaking and competitive acting categories. The following middle school students placed in their individual events;

The High School team placed 8th out of 24 schools and the Middle School Team placed 2nd overall for their age level. The Henry County High School Team will be hosting the annual Ruby Krider Invitational Speech & Debate Tournament this coming weekend at HCHS. Henry County Middle School students will be competing there as well. The High School team will next compete at Murray State University in the Racer Classic on November 16th. The teams are coached by David Weatherly.
