First Day Of Early Voting Busy Locally, Across State

Wednesday was a busy day state-wide as it was the first day of Early Voting in Tennessee.

Lines were long at the Henry and Obion County Election Commission offices, but lines did move swiftly.

In Henry County, the first day total was 1,254, compared with the 2020 first day total of 1,733.

In Obion County, the first day total was 1,232 compared to the 2020 first day total of 1,000..

In Weakley, the first day total of 1,315 compared with the 2020 total of 1,363.

In Stewart County, the first day total was 613, compared with the first day in 2020 of 677.

Statewide, the total of first day voters was 216,446, compared with the 2020 total of 264,641.

Early Voting goes through October 31. During the Early Voting period, everyone votes at the counties’ Election Commissions.
