James Michael Hudson died on September 20, 2024 at the age of 71 in Collierville, TN. He great up in Paris.
He was born in Washington DC on November 15,1952 to the late James Melvin Hudson and Pattye Jackson Hudson. He also lived in Orange County and Los Angeles, California.
Mike was affectionately known as Mikey and, to his high school buddies, “Batman”.
Mike was preceded in death by his brother Timothy Hudson. He is survived by his nephew, Tyler John Hudson, and his great nephew, Asher Hudson. He also leaves many cousins on both sides of the Hudson and Jackson family and many friends.
Mike graduated from Henry County High School in Paris, and also studied at the University of Memphis. He was an entrepreneur who represented various lines of packaging products to a broad range of manufacturers. Through hard work and diligently caring for his customers and suppliers alike, Mike built a very successful
business. Mike’s gruff exterior belied a loving heart.
He enjoyed photography and caring for his many potted plants. He loved rock and roll, and traveling the world, seeking out unusual places. Mike was a good friend and will be missed by many who knew him in Memphis, Paris, North Carolina and California. There will not be another like him.
Mike’s celebration of life will be Saturday, October 26, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Cemetery. There will be a gathering of friends and family at Tom’s Pizza and Steakhouse following the service. Please comment if you plan to attend the gathering at Tom’s.
