Paris, Tenn.–The historic Maplewood Cemetery will be the site of a Historic Site Dedication Ceremony, set for 2 p.m. Saturday, October 12. The ceremony is hosted by the Colonial Dames XVII Century Captain Charles Barham Chapter.
Maplewood is the resting place for many prominent citizens of Paris and Henry County, soldiers from several wars, sheriffs and other law enforcement who served Henry County, beautiful monuments and much more. It is also the final resting place for Gov. Thomas Rye, whose gravesite is memorialized with a bench and two gingko trees. It is located at 1216 Dunlap St., Paris.
