HOMECOMING AND HISTORY – Dr. Erik Nordberg, dean of the Paul Meek Library, talks about the history of UT Martin and homecoming Tuesday, Oct. 1, during the quarterly meeting of the City of Martin/UT Martin Town & Gown Association. The meeting was held in the Champions Club at Hardy Graham Stadium. The Town & Gown Association partnered with the UT Martin Alumni Association to also use the meeting as a community outreach event to increase interest in the Town & Gown program. In addition to Nordberg’s presentation, Mayor Randy Brundige offered a city of Martin update, and Chancellor Yancy Freeman spoke about university events, activities and programs. UT Martin celebrated homecoming the weekend of Oct. 4-5.
