Planning Commission To Consider Site Plans For Starbucks, Retail Center, New Fair Sale Barn

Paris, Tenn.–The Paris Municipal Regional Planning Commission and the Paris Board of Zoning Appeals will have busy agendas awaiting them Thursday night, with site plan requests for a retail center and a Starbucks. They also will be considering a site plan for a new sale barn at the Henry County Fairgrounds.

The Board of Appeals will meet at 5 p.m., followed immediately by the regional planning commission. Both meet in City Hall in downtown Paris.

On the agenda at the planning commission is a request for a site plan for a Starbucks from Seaside Capital Partners, Arnold Consulting Engineering Services of Bowling Green, Ky. Location would be 1290 and 1308 Mineral Wells Ave., which are adjoining properties. It would have a combined total square footage of 2,504.

Also on the agenda is a site plan request for Paris Crossing Retail Center from MB Engineering of Lexington, Tenn. The proposed development would be located on Mineral Wells Ave. at the corner of the Hwy. 218 Bypass and State Highway 77.  The development would consist of nine adjoining retail trades with five commercial outparcels. The total land area is 15.40 acres with a total acre site of 41.68 acres.

Also at the planning commission, Jamison Townsend has submitted a site plan for the Henry County Fair Association for a new sale barn at the rear of the county fairgrounds. The existing building is to be removed and the new building will be built in its place.

At the board of zoning appeals meeting, Brandon Buchanan is seeking a variance for properties at 1290 and 1308 Mineral Wells for use as a drive-thru coffee shop.
