Bobby D. Henderson, age 89, of Paris, passed away Wednesday, October 2, 2024. His funeral service will be held Saturday, October 5th at 1:00 pm at McEvoy Funeral Home with Bro. Gerald Scott of Temple Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be after 11:00 am Saturday, October 5th until the time of service at McEvoy Funeral Home.
Bobby D. Henderson was born August 19, 1935, in Henry Co., TN to the late John Henry and Audie Eron Sykes Henderson. On April 2, 1956, he married Betty Ann Wynn Henderson, and she preceded him in death on September 28, 2004.
Bobby was a member of Temple Baptist Church. He was a flooring contractor for over 50 years and loved fishing with his friends.
Mr. Henderson is survived by a daughter, Kim (Chuck) Carver of Paris; two sons: Larry (Gail) Henderson of Norridge, IL and Jeff Henderson of Murray, KY; grandchildren: Jonathan Carver, Christopher (Ashley) Carver, Mia (Michael) Bianchi, Rachel (Logan) Burks, Jared (Laken) Henderson, and Hanna Rose Henderson (Ira Wray); great-grandchildren: Cooper Carver, Caroline Carver, Madeline Carver, Santino Bianchi, Luciana Bianchi, Everlee Burks, Romey Burks, and Addie Mae Henderson; sister, Linda (Wally) Johnson of Elgin, IL; and numerous other family and friends.
Besides his parents and wife, Bobby was also preceded in death by a sister, Vivian Olivia Surles; and a brother in infancy, Billie Gerald Sykes.
Pallbearers for Mr. Henderson will be Larry Henderson, Jonathan Carver, Christopher Carver, Chuck Carver, Cooper Carver, and Jared Henderson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jeff Henderson & Gene Eades.
