Jackson, Tennessee –Tina Prescott has been appointed as the new President and CEO of West Tennessee Healthcare.
On September 12, West Tennessee Healthcare lost its President and CEO, James “JR” Ross. Officials said, “JR was a dedicated and beloved leader whose vision and heart for this healthcare organization touched everyone who met him. He leaves behind an incredible legacy, and he will be deeply missed.”
At the monthly meeting of the Board of Trustees of West Tennessee Healthcare, members of the Board reported that JR had prepared a succession plan to ensure that West Tennessee Healthcare would have continuity of leadership, and he had discussed his plan with the Board.
In accordance with that plan, the Board of Trustees has appointed our Chief Operating Officer, Tina Prescott, as the President and CEO of West Tennessee Healthcare. Tina has been a valued member of our team for 28 years, and her extensive experience, demonstrated leadership ability, and deep understanding of our organization make her exceptionally qualified for this role. Under Tina’s stewardship, our organization will continue to thrive and stay true to the vision, values and leadership example set by JR. The Board would like for everyone to know that they make this appointment with the full support of the WTH leadership team and in accordance with JR’s wishes.
We thank you for your thoughts and prayers for the Ross family and the entire WTH team, and appreciate your support of our health system.
