MCKENZIE, Tenn. – Trinity Christian Academy Athletic Director Dexter Wiliams announced Wednesday the Trinity Christian Academy / Riverside football game will be played at Walter Butler Stadium on the campus of Bethel University in McKenzie, Tennessee Thursday night.
The change is predicated on the weather forecast which is calling for thunderstorms and heavy rain Friday and Friday evening.
Kick-off between the two rivals will be at 7 p.m.
Gates will open at 5:30 p.m.
Williams stated, “This is a great opportunity for both of these two teams to experience playing in a collegiate stadium. Inclement weather is in the forecast, and this enables both squads to play on a turf field that adds up to great playing conditions and enhances the longstanding rivalry between the two programs. “
Bethel Associate Athletic Director Dave McCulley said, “We are very excited to have both of these outstanding teams and their fans visit our campus. We are always happy to showcase our stadium and look forward to seeing a great game.”
