
Martin, Tenn.–All are invited to a discussion of the book “Title IX, Pat Summitt, and Tennessee’s Trailblazers—50 years, 50 Stories” by Mary Ellen Pethel to be held from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 26, at Martin Public Library.
The book is available at the library. The discussion is sponsored by the Friends of the Library in conjunction with the Martin Public Library staff and will be held in a room of the Martin Event Center located on the first floor of the library.
Those attending do not have to have read the entire book. Discussion of this interesting, informative, and important book will focus on the three sections about Pat Summitt and the sections that feature Bettye Giles, Lucia Jones, Nadine Gearin, and Lin Dunn, all with connections to UT Martin and this area.
