Union City, Tenn.–Today is a big day at Discovery Park of America. Join them for the main event of the 2024 Northwest Tennessee Native American Educational Powwow, packed with fun activities you don’t want to miss.
All the excitement takes place on the great lawn, where you can shop for handmade indigenous items and enjoy delicious food, including fry bread and much more, from vendors all day. The park opens at 10 a.m., with the first Grand Entry at noon, followed by round dance, intertribal dancing, contest dancing and a hoop dance demonstration. Arvel Bird will perform at 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.
The second round of dancing will start at 6 p.m. It’s going to be a day full of celebration, culture and unforgettable experiences. We can’t wait to see you!
