diabetes-jpg

Paris, Tenn. – Tuesdays starting October 1 from 9:00 am  to 11:00 am (weekly for 6 weeks) at Henry County Office on Aging/ Central School Building.

Diabetes, a complex condition, often creates feelings of fear, confusion, and helplessness in  those diagnosed and their caregivers. Managing the disease not only involves addressing its  physical aspects but also navigating its impact on one’s life and emotions. Empowering  individuals with the knowledge and tools for self-management is key to taking control of their  diabetes care.

This transformative opportunity with the Paris and Henry County Healthcare Foundation,  GrowWell, and West Tennessee Healthcare- Henry County Hospital, offers a complimentary  Take Charge of Your Diabetes Program workshop. This 6-week initiative is designed for people  with diabetes and their caregivers, helping them learn important skills for managing their  condition and working well with healthcare providers. Led by educators certified by Stanford  University’s Diabetes Self-Management Program Master Trainers, these sessions will run every  Tuesday from 9:00 am to 11:00 am.

This invaluable resource is FREE and extends a warm invitation to spouses, family members,  and caregivers. Space is limited for this two-hour workshop, facilitated by the Tina Umstead, of  the Paris and Henry County Healthcare Foundation Delta Rural Health Initiative.
