Mrs. Betty Jean Donnell, 89, of Obion, passed away at 6:25 p.m. Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at her home.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Greater Vision Church of God in Troy. Brother Robin Rotgers will officiate. Burial will follow in Mount Moriah Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at Greater Vison Church of God from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of services Saturday.
Pallbearers will be C. J. Ledbetter, Matt Donnell, Jaxon Moran, Dylan Moran, Tad Dalton, Joe Graves and Terry Dunevant.
Betty was born May 8, 1935, in Obion, daughter of the late Hugh Barr and Edith (Luker) Sullivan. She married Charles Edward Donnell June 20, 1954. He passed away November 22, 2018. She worked for the former Salant & Salant in Obion and was a homemaker. Betty was a member of Greater Vision Church in Troy and an avid woodworker.
She is survived by one son, Mike and Lisa Donnell of Obion; three daughters, Edith and Terry Dunevant of Newbern, Beverly Medlock of Obion and Heather and Joe Graves of Rives; five grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Charles Hugh Donnell; two sisters, Mozelle Puckett and Geraldine Nelson; and four brothers, James Sullivan, Doodle Sullivan, Sport Sullivan and Muggs Sullivan.
