Union City, Tenn.–For the Union City volleyball team Monday, change was good.

Responding favorably to a couple of position swaps to their starting personnel, the Lady Tornadoes blanked Peabody 3-0 for the second time this season to improve to 6-2.

Madie Theobald (23 assists) and Addison Carr (8 assists and 6 saves) shined in new roles as UC won 25-16, 25-22, and 25-12.

“I was proud of Madie and Addison for adjusting to new roles and playing to their full potential in new positions,” head coach Jessia Graham said afterward. “Their play made us better.”

Alyssa Davis and Gracelyn Sims also drew praise from Graham as each smashed 13 kills for the Lady Tornadoes.

Clare Atwill came up with seven digs, while Brianna McBride had five kills, four aces, and four digs for the winners.

Union City continues district play tonight with a trip to South Fulton.
