Paris, Tenn.–The Paris-Henry County Chamber of Commerce announced today that Henry County native Leslie Henegar will be its next executive director.
“The Chamber Board’s Executive Committee poured through resumes and conducted numerous interviews with highly qualified candidates,” according to Kimberly Martin, president of the Chamber’s Board of Directors. “Ultimately, we felt Leslie had the perfect combination of experience and skills to lead and grow the Chamber.”
Henegar has a master’s degree in marketing and management and a bachelor’s degree in management and organizational development. She has worked as the marketing director and operations assistant for Legends of the Outdoors, has taught marketing and business classes at Bethel University, and has served as the supported employment team supervisor at Carey Counseling. Additionally, she has held positions in marketing, human resources, and administration in Henry County and the surrounding area.
“It is truly a great honor to be chosen to serve my beloved county as the Chamber Director”, Henegar said. “As a lifelong Henry Countian, for me, Paris and Henry County embodies everything that feels like the warmth of home—family, friends, and community. Some of the most beautiful parts of God’s creation lies within the borders of Henry County. Whether it’s Friday night lights at Patriot Stadium, summertime on Kentucky Lake, cool evenings at the Eiffel Tower Park, or enjoying wildlife at the Refuge, our county has something for everyone. I am looking forward to working closely with our chamber members and community leaders to continue growing our Chamber and increasing commerce initiatives that will ensure the furthered success of Henry County.
“We are excited to start this new era for the Paris-Henry County Chamber,” said Martin. “We are thankful to our interim director, Rachel Steedly, for her leadership during an era of transition and stabilization for the Chamber, and we know that Rachel’s hard work is the reason the Chamber is poised for growth under Leslie’s leadership.”
Henegar’s role as executive director of the Paris-Henry County Chamber of Commerce will begin at the start of the Chamber’s new fiscal year on Oct. 1.
