
Springville, Tenn.–Residents escaped unharmed, but their home was a total loss after a structure fire in Springville Wednesday morning.
Paris Landing Volunteer Fire Chief Reggie Coles said at 8:30 a.m., the Paris Landing Fire Department, Henry County EMS, Henry County Sheriff’s officers, Paris Fire Department and the Board of Public Utilities were dispatched to 140 Norman Road in Springville, for a report of the structure fire.
Arriving units found a double-wide mobile home with heavy smoke showing. The owner, Michael Couch stated he smelled smoke and located the fire in the front bedroom with one wall already engulfed. He along with his wife, daughter and grandchild were able to escape unharmed.
While the fire was quickly extinguished, the entire structure suffered heavy damage from fire, smoke and water damage. It was ruled a total loss. Damage is estimated at $75,000.00. An electrical power tool charger is the suspected cause.
Paris Landing responded with 4 trucks and 7 personnel, Paris Fire responded with 1 truck and 3 personnel. Units were on the scene for 2 hours.
