Calloway County, Ky.–Upon arrival at the scene of an injury accident Friday night, first responders couldn’t even be sure just how many vehicles were involved.
At approximately 8:15 pm Calloway County 911 Communications Center dispatched Calloway County Fire & Rescue out to the intersection of KY94 West & Scott Road in the Lynn Grove community for a vehicle accident with injuries but it was not clear how many vehicles were involved at the time.
As the units started going enroute, dispatch advised that they believed it was a car and tractor with trailer involved. After further investigation by Calloway County Sheriff’s Office, it was determined that the black Chevrolet Malibu had rear ended the tractor that was pulling a trailer with no taillights.
Murray-Calloway County EMS transported both drivers to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries. CCFR assisted with traffic control as KY94 West was shut down for the duration of the accident as well as helped clean the roadway of debris.
CCFR responded 2 trucks with 7 firefighters and was on scene for approximately an hour and a half. CCFR was assisted on scene by CCSO, Murray-Calloway EMS, Calloway County Emergency Management and Paul’s Towing.
