Henry County, Tenn.–The Henry Volunteer Fire Department, Henry County Sheriff’s Office and EMA were called to the scene of a tragedy Thursday afternoon as a person was found unresponsive in a pool. The victim later succumbed to their injuries.
Henry Firefighters were dispatched to a residence outside of Henry yesterday afternoon just before 3 PM on a report of an unresponsive person in a pool.
Henry Fire responded to the scene, pulled the patient from the pool in 4.5 minutes from the time dispatched, and began life-saving measures until EMS arrived on scene. EMS transported the patient to the Emergency Room, where the patient later succumbed to their injuries.
Fire officials said, “Our fire family would like to ask everyone to please keep the family of the patient in your thoughts and prayers as they lay their loved one to rest.”
Details including the identity of the victim were not immediately available.
