Barbara Joyce Ivey, 80, of Paris, TN, died Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at Henry County Medical Center in Paris.
She retired after several years from First National Bank in Panhandle, TX. She was also the former manager of Alsups Convenience Store. Barbara loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren and watching them do anything. She enjoyed gardening and dancing. She grew up as a Baptist.
Barbara was born April 21, 1944, in Clarendon, TX, to the late Tilman James Tice and the late Gladys Mildred Rich Tice.
She was married in September 1999 to Marvin Ivey, who survives, of Paris, TN.
Along with her husband, she is also survived by five children, Shannon (Carl) Austin of Amarillo, TX, Lewis (Sheryl) King of Tulsa, OK, Roy Ivey of Kerens, TX, Tammy Walker of Paris, TN, and Sherry Marshall of Paris, TN; three sisters, Linda Whitt of Panhandle, TX, Nora Suttles of Hedley, TX, and June Colwick of Hughes Springs, TX; five grandchildren, Terry (Hannah) Hobbs, Lindsey Hobbs, Greg (Kari) King, Chance (Taylor) King, and Melissa Wilson; nine great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; and her dog, Sage.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street/PO Box 788, Paris, TN 38242. Visitation will be Saturday, August 17, 2024, from 12:00 pm – 1:30 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Saturday, August 17, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Rose Lawn Memory Garden in Paris, TN.
Family members will serve as pallbearers.
Burial will follow the service in Rose Lawn Memory Garden.
